20 Essential Minerals
The idea behind this system is that the livestock will know what they need and will only eat what their body needs to keep them healthy. It is 20 essential minerals that all livestock need to sustain a healthy body condition, any time of year. The mineral buffet consists of single minerals, mixed with carriers, to make it palatable and help the animal absorb it properly. The products we provide are manufactured by Free Choise Enterprises Ltd. They have been in business for over 50 years and have amazing results from customers like us. We can't believe the difference in our goats since we started using these products!
The Minerals
The Mineral buffet consists of the following minerals:
Acid Neutralized, Alkaline Neutralizer, Boron, Calcium, Cobalt, Copper, Iodine, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Phosphorus, Potassium, Salt, Silicon, Sodium, Selenium/Vitamin E, Sulfur, Vitamin V4(AD&E), Vitamin C&B, and Zinc.
Our buffet system comes with all of these except salt, because it is cheaper for you to purchase from your local farm supply store, but you get twice the amount of phosphorus.
Changes
We noticed, after about 3-4 weeks, the hair/coats were getting darker and more shiny. We also noticed weight gain and better muscle tone. The Goats seem to eat less food, which I think is because they are absorbing more of what they need from having the proper minerals.
As you can see in the pictures to the right, this is the same goat! The pictures were taken about 4 weeks apart from when we first started the mineral buffet system and now!
