Our Breeding Goals
Here at Fish or Price Ranch, we work hard towards keeping the Kiko Goat as a strong meat breed, just as other breeders have done before us. We are continuing to ensure high parasite resistance, good mothering ability, healthy hooves, and low maintenance.

Foundation Herdsire
MCS Raider's Lightening
Lightening was recently added to the ranch. He has a large frame, great height, and heavy bone. His dam is a heavy milker with great teat structure. We hope Lightening will add some great genetics into our herd. He is giving us new genetics to work with to keep the genetic diversity we strive for.

Pippa has earned her spot in the herd by producing thick, fast-growing kids but also because of her milk production and quality udder. She produces a very high butterfat and rich, creamy tasting milk. We hope to see the same production in her offspring!

Primrose has definitely outdone herself! She has produced triplets her first 2 years as a breeder and needed no assistance. She has also produced an amazing udder and we look forward to seeing how she might do as a milker.

FPR Chew's Azalea
Azalea has been an amazing FF and her udder has shown good promise. Her kids have been growing at a phenomenal rate for a FF, which doesn't happen very often. We will be adding her into our milking program later this year! Update: She has gotten cancer so we don't know how much of a future she has. We found the cancer after she was pregnant with her 2nd set of kids, which she raised amazingly.

Myrtle has been an amazing freshener and given us plenty of amazing kids. She is a dream on the milk stand and provides us with butter rich milk every year. She was a breed-up program we started by adding Alpine into the Kiko for better udder and milk production. We plan to keep her daughters to continue the breed-up.

Ebony has shown great promise. She is currently a FF and has produced some fast-growing triplets. Her udder is large enough to handle it, which is very surprising. She has us exciting to see how she will do in our program!

Velvet has been our largest doe ever produced on the farm so far. She has such a large frame compared to her small dam and we couldn't be happier! She has proven to produce this large frame on her offspring as well. We look forward to seeing if she will produce a doe with the same traits.

Ravenna has been an amazing FF to her beautiful daughter. She has also proven to be a breeze on the milk stand and instantly understood what to do. I hope to see her take after her mother as a milker in the future!

Halley was an accident turned excitement. Her sire Cosmos broke through a fence and bred his mother, Pinky. It ended up being a great cross that locked in some amazing genetics. I can't wait to see how she produces for us!

Magnificent was born to have this name! Fast growth, great build, and amazing structure. She has followed in her mom's footsteps of being one of the largest in the herd. Her sire Jerico was out of our best milker Pinky, who would give 1 gallon a day! We hope to see Magnificent get the best of both worlds!

Kiskadee is out of Cosmos, who's mother was Pinky, our 1 gallon a day milker. We hoped crossing that line with our second best milker, Pippa, would give us an amazing future milker. Well here we are! We hope to see this cross thrive for our program.

Phainopepla was born with an unkown sire. We had a couple of escapees but after DNA testing, found it was Franklin. We are happy with the outcome of a gorgeous, well-built doe. Also finding great milk lines on both sides of her genetics! The furture looks bright for her.

Sparrow is part of our breed-up program. She is 75% Kiko and 25% Alpine. Her dam has been an amazing milker for us while saying hardy. We hope to see the same, if not better, for Sparrow as she grows up.

Condor has some big shoes to fill if he wants to be a future herdsire. Cosmos and Bazooka are 2 big bucks that really impacted our herd. Condor also comes from some of the best milk lines. Hopefully he can produce some fantastic daughters for us in the future.
