Rex are one of the softest rabbits in the world. We use them for meat and quality pelts. They also make great pets! These rabbits can also be used in 4H. Rabbits are fairly easy to take care of and we offer classes on how to properly house and care for them before you take them home! 

GIANT REX PROJECT RABBITS

Giant Rex are a work in progress to get a larger framed rabbit with the Rex fur. We use them for meat and quality pelts. They also make great pets! We are also adding in the satin gene to create a Giant Reza Rabbit. Rabbits are fairly easy to take care of and we offer classes on how to properly house and care for them before you take them home!

You'll need at least 2 because they are social beings.  Chicks are fairly easy to take care of. Consider buying a "Bird Work Shop Ticket" - a 3 hour work shop where you'll learn exactly how to own and care for chicks. After a few weeks of growing strong, most breeds will lay their first egg around 18 weeks of age. Once your female chick grows into a backyard hen, she will lay up to 250 unfertilized eggs in her first year. A rooster is needed to produce fertilized eggs.

Why own egg laying hens & chickens?  They: lay eggs, make excellent pets, create great fertilizer, help clean your yard by naturally controlling bugs & weeds, act like a natural garbage disposal & are easy to take care of. Consider buying our Bird Work Shop & learn how to own & care for them. They're a healthy source of fresh, free-range, hormone-free meat too. Fancier breeds available with a premium. If you don't own a rooster your hen will lay unfertilized eggs (1 a day & some days she won't lay an egg at all, due to her reproductive system).

Karakachan Livestock Guadian Dogs originate from Bulgaria. They are our favorite breed of guardian dogs because they stay with their livestock, they don't wander, and less bark. These dogs mean business and they are not for everyone. They are not people friendly so they will protect their charges from predators of all sorts. These are not pets and will only be available to experienced livestock dog owners. Please feel free to contact us for more information on this breed!
